HOW AN ENOVATE PROJECT WORKS

A clear process, from the first video call to the final fit.

Every ENOVATE project is designed around your home and largely handmade on site. We use our workshop to store materials and prepare smaller components, but the main cabinetry is usually built and fitted at your property so it can be tailored precisely to the room.

Here’s exactly what to expect, what we’ll need from you and how we’ll make the process as straightforward as possible.

What happens from enquiry to installation?

01 — BOOK YOUR VIDEO CALL

Choose a convenient time and tell us briefly what you’re considering. During the call, you’ll show Josh the room, explain what isn’t working and talk through your initial ideas.

02 — IDEAS, MEASUREMENTS & SITE VISIT

Josh will discuss possible layouts and gather the measurements needed to understand the project. If the space needs a closer inspection, we’ll arrange a site visit before finalising the quotation.

03 — RECEIVE YOUR QUOTATION

Robyn will send a clear, detailed quotation explaining the proposed cabinetry, what is included, the payment schedule and the expected installation timeframe.

04 — SECURE YOUR DATE

Once you accept the quotation, we’ll send the 40% deposit payment link. Your chosen installation date is secured when the deposit has been received.

05 — FINAL DETAILS & PREPARATION

Before installation, we’ll confirm the design details, hardware and anything you need to supply. We’ll also remind you about access, parking, room clearance and the working space Josh will need.

06 — WE BUILD & FIT

Josh will build and fit the main cabinetry at your property, tailoring it neatly to the room. Once complete, the furniture will be left ready for decorating.

Multi-day projects usually follow our 40% deposit, 30% on the first installation day and 30% upon completion payment schedule. One-day projects usually follow a 40% deposit and 60% completion payment schedule. Your quotation will confirm the exact arrangement.

What “handmade on site” actually means.

Your home is where the majority of your cabinetry is made as well as fitted. This allows Josh to build accurately around walls, ceilings, skirting and all the little quirks that make each room different.

It also means we need suitable access and working space throughout the installation.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Materials, tools and workbenches brought to your property

  • Cutting, building and fitting taking place during the working day

  • Normal construction noise and some dust while work is underway

  • Josh moving regularly between the van, working area and installation room

  • The cabinetry being built progressively rather than arriving fully assembled

  • A careful tidy-up at the end of each working day

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

  • Parking as close to the property as reasonably possible for the ENOVATE van

  • A clear route between the van, working area and installation room

  • The room emptied and ready before Josh arrives

  • Enough suitable space for workbenches, tools and materials

  • Outdoor space for our gazebo when cutting or building outside is required

  • Safe access to standard electrical power

  • Children and pets kept away from tools and the active working area

  • Advance notice of parking restrictions, shared entrances or difficult access

Weather and working space: Where part of the build needs to take place outside, safe working conditions and enough room for our gazebo are essential. Severe weather or unsuitable working space may affect what can be completed safely.

Before your installation date.

We’ll confirm the project details with you before Josh arrives. To keep the build running smoothly, please make sure the following are ready by the agreed date:

PROJECT DETAILS

  • Final layout and quoted specification agreed

  • Handle and hardware choices confirmed

  • Television, fire and equipment specifications supplied where relevant

  • Any separately arranged electrical or plumbing work completed

  • Questions or requested changes raised before materials are ordered

YOUR HOME

  • Installation room completely cleared

  • Furniture, ornaments and personal belongings removed

  • Parking and access arrangements confirmed

  • Suitable working space available

  • Power accessible

  • Children and pets safely separated from the working area

  • Other trades informed of the ENOVATE installation dates

Changes requested after materials have been ordered or work has started may affect the price and installation schedule. We’ll always discuss this with you before proceeding.

What to expect while Josh is working in your home.

Because most of your cabinetry is handmade on site, the room and agreed working area will temporarily become an active workshop. There will be tools, materials, cutting noise and some dust while the project is underway.

BUILT AND FITTED TOGETHER

The cabinetry is constructed in stages and adjusted to suit the room as Josh works. This is what allows everything to be fitted neatly around your walls, ceilings and existing features.

A WORKING SPACE

The installation room may not be usable during the project. Tools, benches and materials need to remain safely positioned, so children, pets and unnecessary foot traffic must be kept away.

TIDY AT THE END OF EACH DAY

Carpentry is naturally dusty, but Josh works carefully and keeps the area as organised as possible. The working space will be left reasonably tidy and safe at the end of each day.

We know having work completed in your home can be disruptive, so we’ll explain the expected timeframe beforehand and keep you updated throughout the installation.

Payments and finishing touches.

YOUR PAYMENT SCHEDULE

For projects lasting more than one day, payment is normally divided into:

  • 40% deposit to secure your installation date

  • 30% on the first day of installation

  • 30% when the carpentry is complete

One-day projects normally follow a 40% deposit and 60% completion payment. Your quotation will confirm the exact schedule and clearly include VAT.

DECORATING YOUR CABINETRY

ENOVATE supplies your furniture carefully prepared and ready for decorating. Painting is not included within our carpentry quotation and should be arranged separately.

We recommend Sam’s Property Solutions, who regularly decorates our cabinetry and understands the preparation and finish required. You’re also welcome to use your own professional decorator.

Your final carpentry payment is due when ENOVATE’s agreed work is complete, rather than after separately arranged decorating has taken place.
