Many staircases can accommodate useful storage, but the available depth, construction, access and any existing utilities will affect what is possible. Josh can assess this during the consultation process.
Are pull-out drawers or cupboards better?

It depends on the shape of your staircase and what you want to store. Pull-outs make deep spaces easier to access, while cupboards can work well for taller or bulkier items.
Can you build around meters and a fuse box?

Potentially, but these must remain safely accessible. Their position and access requirements will be considered when planning the design.
Can you remove existing understairs cupboards?

This may be possible and should be discussed before quoting. Any removal work must be included within the agreed project rather than assumed on the installation day.

Our understairs storage is built using MDF and made to fit the individual angles and dimensions of your staircase.
PLANNING THE SPACE
The available depth, doorways, surrounding walkways and direction of access will all help determine the most practical layout.
DECORATING
Your cabinetry will be supplied ready for decorating. Painting is arranged separately, with Sam’s Property Solutions available as our recommended decorator.
METERS & UTILITIES
Any meters, fuse boxes, pipework or other services beneath the stairs must remain safely accessible and may influence what can be built.
